re West Point Class of '56 Holiday Reunion Ball
More than 10 years ago, a fellow member of the West Point Class of 1956 and his wife were considering holding a formal dinner-dance in mid December at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington for West Point Classmates and friends. Among the issues they were facing was that of providing dance music for dancing portion of the event. A couple of months prior to the planned event, they attended a wedding reception at which an orchestra was playing exactly the type music they had envisioned for the dinner-dance. They later contacted the orchestra director and manager, and thus began our 10 year association with the Northern Lights Dance Orchestra.
The dinner-dance has now become an annual event, currently run by a committee of which I am a member. We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with the Northern Lights. They are a pleasure to deal with, always punctual, and always eager to accommodate any changes or special requests. We look forward to their joining us each year and our event would not be the same without them.

re Harvest Dance
I love to dance and what a joy to be transported back to the times of Glen Miler, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw and Count Basie to name a few. It just takes my breath away to hear that traditional “Big Band” sound once again. What an honor to be able to enjoy a fox trot, waltz, rumba, tango, mambo, cha cha, salsa or swing dance. I thank you NLDO for a night that I will never forget!
